MUSE heeft men leven weer compleet gemaakt,
De Spits schrijft, Ahoy is voor Muse al bijna te klein. En daar hebben ze ook
helemaal gelijk in. Afgelopen zaterdag ben ik in Ahoy Rotterdam geweest. Ook al
ben ik al meer dan 6 jaar een grote fan van Muse, was dit voor mij de eerste
keer dat ik Muse live zag. Ze waren de afgelopen 2 a 3 jaren stil geweest maar
op 10 september kwam hun nieuwe album uit genaamd, The Resistance. Een
toepasselijke naam voor het album dus. Want de liederen van de popgroep gaan
daad werkelijk over politiek en de maatschappij. Dat was ook wel te merken uit
de laatste 2 albums namelijk het album black holes and revelations en dus de
nieuwe The Resistance.
Ik en mijn vriendin hadden al veel zin in het concert. Het concert stond op
het punt te beginnen, en ja hoor… het begint. Een ontzettend mooie intro. Op
grote doeken wat dus flatgebouwen moeten voorstellen zie je allemaal onbekende
mannen lopen op een reeks van trappen. Het lijkt net of ze gevangen zitten in
een trappen huis. Op eens vallen alle mannetjes van de trappen en het concert
begon. Het begon met het geweldige nummer Uprising. Het hele concert was gewoon
gaaf. Ik heb eindelijk weer eens zitten genieten. Live zijn ze ook zo ontzettend
goed. Dat is gewoon echt super knap.
